Aphiwe is an entrepreneur with an extensive aviation, software, management consulting and business development background. He has worked on a significant amount of innovation projects with in the ICT sector for the past 8 years, spanning from ecommerce applications, electrical mobility, unmanned aircraft systems (drone) applications, Industrial Internet of Things systems to narrow artificial intelligence systems. He has received innovation accolades from intuitions such as Standard Bank Limited, The Innovation Hub and IBM to name a few. In the former part of his career, he has been involved extensively in delivering novel track and trace systems to a large South African rail, port and pipeline company Transnet SOC Ltd. In the latter part of his career, he has been involved in market research, investment strategies, detailed development of opex and capex budgets for input into bankable feasibility studies and business case for capital raising.
